Board Meeting minutes of June 16, 2014
Present: Chairman Monn, Supervisors Joel Wittenmeyer and Steve Nielsen, Maintenance Kevin Finder, Clerk-Treasurer Val Windsor and townspeople Pat Smith and Melissa Schutz
Chairman Monn called the meeting to order at 7pm at the Stanton Town Shop, Knapp, WI.
Motion to approve May minutes as mailed was made by S. Nielsen, 2nd by R. Monn. Approved.
Treasurer’s Report: Balance on hand, June 1, 2014 $46,509.80
June Receipts $3,692.44
Less June Disbursements $21,713.62
Book balance as of June 30, 2014 $28,488.62
Motion to approve Treasurer’s Report as mailed was made by S. Nielsen, 2nd by R. Monn. Approved.
Motion to approve Vouchers and Checks was made by R. Monn, 2nd by S. Nielsen. Approved.
Maintenance Report: 930th needs 2 36” culverts and DNR requires a 48” culvert for one of them. Estimate of $6,300.00 to put in culvert and do the labor. Kevin will check with Davis Bros. and see what they will charge.
Kevin needs to go back to Eau Claire with the truck as the brakes still aren’t right.
Rain has done damage the roads and Kevin has hauled much rock to repair shoulders.

Clerk-Treasurer Report: None
Committee Reports: Plan Commission – they started looking into the map. An informational meeting is planned for Monday, July 14th for residents. Bob Colson will be in attendance to answer any questions. A letter will be going out to all residents on July 2nd.
Fire/Ambulance – They need to do a demolition. They have authorized Matt Feaney to solicit bids to have someone come in and take care of the demolishing the old, prepping, and preparation of the new site.
New Business: Chris Kruze is here to discuss his candidacy for Dunn County Sheriff. He is the current Chief Medical Examiner for Dunn County.
Open and Possibly Award Bids:
Scott Construction – includes wedging – 2464 tons @ $57.21/ton = $140,965.00 (cold mix)
Monarch Paving – includes wedging – 2373 tons @ $54.93/ton = $130,348.89 (cold mix)
Motion was made to award the Monarch Paving bid of $130,348.89, wedging included, by R. Monn, 2nd by S. Nielsen. Approved.
Public Comment: Discussion about the Bike Race. Comment was made that they have lost their sponsorship so there may not be any future races.
Motion to adjourn meeting was made by R. Monn, 2nd by J. Wittenmeyer. Approved.
