Board Meeting minutes of May 16, 2016
Chairman Monn called the meeting to order at 7pm at the Stanton Town Shop, Knapp, WI.
Present: Chairman Monn, Supervisors Melissa Schutz and Steve Nielsen, Clerk-Treasurer Valerie Windsor, Maintenance Kevin Finder
Motion to approve April minutes as mailed was made by R. Monn, 2nd by M. Schutz. Approved
Treasurer’s Report: Balance on hand, April 1, 2016 $11,036.13
April Receipts $24,964.26
Less April Disbursements $18,016.26
Book Balance as of April 30, 2016 $17,984.13
Motion to approve Treasurer’s Report as mailed was made by R. Monn, 2nd by S. Nielsen. Approved.
Motion to approve Vouchers and Checks was made by R. Monn, 2nd by M. Schutz. Approved.
Maintenance Report: Jim Chich would like to take over the north end of 210th. We will send him a letter asking him to get permission from all affected residents, then the township can look into it.
Resident called Kevin about a problem with a drainage ditch. They have fixed this issue.
Next year we will have to charge more for TV’s as we are getting charged more to get rid of them at the county level.

Committee Reports: Plan Commission would like to meet within the next month to try and complete another section of the Comprehensive Plan.
Fire/Ambulance – They have decided to send out the bids for the design of the building. They have until August 1st to get them back. The issue with the company coming to the meeting with the cost of the design has been resolved.
Public Comment: None
Contract discussion with Advanced Disposal – here to present the new agreement. Mike is stating the recycle costs have gone up significantly. Contract is for 3 years, however we would like to have written in the agreement that we would like to have the costs revisited annually so there are no surprises to us. Mike will write in the agreement the new language and bring it back to our June meeting. Motion was made to have this at our June meeting was made by R. Monn, 2nd by S. Nielsen. Approved.
Open and Possibly award bids for road work –
Monarch –Paving with cold mix $90,604.78 or using warm mix $79,195.76 (final costs will be determined on what we actually use). Monarch does not warranty cracking
Scott – Paving with cold mix $67,847.00, the 2nd year will have a warranty on the cracks.
Motion to award the bid to Scott Construction was made by R. Monn, 2nd by S. Nielsen. Approved.
They will start around August.
Lakes Asphalt– Crack Filling $25,817 for all roads listed in bid
Fahrner – Crack Filling $58,542 for all roads listed in bid
Motion to award the bid to Lakes Asphalt for crack filling was made by M. Schutz, 2nd by R. Monn. Approved.
