Maintenance Report: LRIP was changed to 210th Street because of the shared road with Lucas. Need to figure out what for sure needs to get done so it can get going in the Spring. (See Supervisor Report)
Chairman Report: None
Supervisors Report: Bob has been working on the Lucas road map that we share to get the road changed to our name only.
Clerk-Treasurer Report: Election is all ready for Tuesday. Also received a letter from the Dunn Co. Treasurers office, apparently I need a bond for the months of December-February for tax collection purposes. Board said I can call around and get some prices and present that in January.
Fire/Ambulance meeting went well. Voting was approved 5/1 with a pre-engineered building.
New Business: Joe Atwood is here to discuss the building permit process. Joe started by telling us exactly what the process is from start to finish on a building permit for the state and him as the inspector. Joe feels he’s been put in a tough spot as a resident in our township did not get a building permit or have any inspections done. Resident will need to have a master electrician sign off on the electricity portion of it all, which will be highly unlikely as everything is done and covered up with sheetrock, floors, ect. This could jepordize Joe’s license and the township with legality issues. Pete Krizan went through the zoning office and got a permit and was told to call the township to find out what our requirements were. Rich talked to Pete about driveway permits. Pete went ahead and built the home. Pete is wondering if we as a township can have him sign a paper stating he will not sue the township or the building inspector if we sign off on him moving into his home. Rich will call our attorney and see if we can legally do this and have him call Joe.
Joe is asking about getting reimbursement for his payments. He has 3 three houses going on right now. Val cut him a check immediately and he will mail the township the checks as soon as he gets them.
Discuss Schultz Road – went over the minutes of May and June, 2000 as Josh Hoff had a few questions. We have a state certified map that states the township has the right of way to the turn around of this road. The turn around is currently gated and locked closed. We are asking Josh to make sure the gates are kept open so Kevin can turn around with the snow plow. We also asked Josh to move his fence off the right of way by June 1, 2018 and he said he would do this. If Josh is concerned about people getting into his land then he’ll need to move the posts back so they’re not in the town right of way, then put the gate in.
Motion was made to put Kevin’s contract on January agenda by R. Monn, 2nd by B. Anderson. Approved
Motion to adjourn meeting was made by B. Anderson, 2nd by S. Nielson. Approved.
Meeting adjourned at 8pm
