Board meeting minutes of March 18, 2018
Chairman Monn called the meeting to order at 7pm at the Stanton Town Shop, Knapp, WI
Present: Chairman Monn, Supervisors Bob Anderson and Steve Nielsen, Maintenance Kevin Finder and Clerk-Treasurer Valerie Windsor, townspeople Karl Hackbarth. New Boyceville fire chief Cory
Motion to approve February minutes as mailed was made by R.Monn, 2nd by B. Anderson. Approved.
Treasurer’s Report: Balance as of March 1, 2018 -$1421.84
March Receipts $95,228.96
March Disbursements $76,821.66
Book balance as of March 31, 2018 $16,985.46
Val made an error in the checkbook, it has been fixed and didn’t have any NSF checks as the bank covered all.
Motion to approve Treasurer’s Report as mailed was made by B. Anderson, 2nd by S. Nielsen. Approved.
Motion to approve Vouchers and Checks was made by B. Anderson, 2nd by S. Nielsen. Approved.
Maintenance Report: Bridge Inspection will be sent to County to go ahead.
Ice is deep under the railroad tressels, Kevin is going get salt and try to get this taken care of.
Chairman Report: A newsletter will be going out and will include road inspection info, roll off date, and a reminder that there is no planting in the ditch as mandated by the state.
Road Inspection is tentatively set for Monday, April 9th at 9am
Supervisor Reports: Kevin and Bob went to an asphalt maintenance conference put on by Farhner. Steve received a call about the next town board election. (which is always odd years –2019)
Clerk-Treasurer Report: April election is all set.
Received a letter from Rural Mutual, Jeff White is offering to do an account review on our policies. We will see if he wants to come to the April meeting.
Plan Commission: March plan commission meeting was cancelled due to a work conflict. Attorney Terry Dunst will be in attendance at the April 25th meeting.
Fire/Ambulance: New fire chief for Boyceville, Cory, is in attendance. Kevin helped with a fire on 944th, Cory would like to thank him for his quick response. Cory is asking us to include in our newsletter about driveway obstructions (trees, plants, and such) to get cleared out for the fire departments. Also would like to have an advisory on width for driveway for fire trucks to get in if necessary.
Fire Dept. is still working with various companies for set up on the new design of the fire building.
